I just had to put my dog down. My Vet wisely told me that most people wait too long (none of us want to face it, and let go…) and she said “it is better to do it a day early than a day late” because they can then leave this earthly plane with a ‘better’ last day, rather than when they are in intractable misery. She will tell you when she is done…when the high cost and pain of being alive is greater than the joy in her life. My thoughts are with you. I still grieve ZuZu’s death on Dec 1, 2025.
