So enjoyed this today as I have a soft spot in my heart for Perugia❤️

Went to school there for 6 weeks many years ago to learn Italian while finishing my degree in the USA. Love that city, think I am due another visit back soon

Thank you, Ginger, and I'm glad to hear Perugia has stuck with you over the years—I think that definitely means it's time for a return visit! I hope you can make it happen.

So happy to hear that Aria's surgery went well. Those collars are not fun. Hope the kitty doesn't tease Aria!

Thanks! I wish Aurora were here to tease her, but she’s in kitty heaven. 😢

So sorry to hear about Aurora. Always difficult when we have lost a beloved animal companion.

"It's not awful." I love that line, the intrepid approach of someone who understands and accepts that much is out of their control and they can either adapt or tear their hair. My standard is, "That doesn't suck." Very similar, with a slightly broader usage. 🤗

Oooh, intrepid. Next time I face an obstacle here, I’m going to remind myself to be that. Nice to hear we have a similar approach to things we can’t change. 🙂

Thank you, Molly! I hope you read the post I linked to, which was about the kind of day you certainly don't want to dream about. ;-)

Thanks for flagging that! I just read the article..”Che casino!” Hopefully being retired makes it somewhat less stressful. 😅

Some stress is inevitable. But at least there’s good wine! 😂

We lived in Avellino which is a little south and east of Caserta while I was working in Napoli. So for us, it was always riposo which is why I keyed in on the difference. Thank you for sharing your life and experiences in Perugia.

Loved it!!!! Just reading it made me feel like getting on the next plane to Perugia. Glad Aria is well. Loved the cream on the coffee so thick a spoon will stand atop it. Ha!!!!! The beauty of Italy, omg!!!!

Well, you know you really *should* get on that plane! Thanks for reading, Kalpana.

I learned a new regionalism - "pausa" is "riposo" in the Campania region. Great description of a "Day in the Life".

Really? Thanks for telling me—I love hearing about regional differences. I wonder if it's region-wide; I'll have to ask my cousin who lives a fair distance east of Caserta. Thanks for reading too!
